Does this pic crack anyone else up? I mean, I could hop over that "curb" on my skateboard, so posing on it for a truck like this seems a little silly, doesn't it? Ha ha. More pics of this build here.
They probably thought that having the camera down at the level of the speed bump would make it look more massive...didn't work. I agree, it's pretty funny.
It cracks me up but the curb has nothing to do with it. I'm sorry but these trucks with the blinged out 20" wheels, low profile tires, ultra wide track widths, etc...look ridiculous. Here's a "built" truck:
I live in farm country and I see the blinged out diesels all the time and for the life of me I just can't wrap my head around it.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Just got back from a trip to Miami and every truck looked like the above one. Straight up stupid IMHO. Nice looking truck by the way. Looks like a worker for sure.

35s, a flatbed (integrating the backrack that's on there now), and some auxiliary lighting are in the works. It's an XL work package that was a utility company truck in its former life. They sprung for the power package and cloth seats though so it's pretty comfortable inside. A truck can be built for work and look good doing it IMO. There are plenty of very powerful rear drive V8 muscle cars on the market today (Camaro, Mustang, Charger, Challenger, etc...)-if you want to go fast, run low-pro tires, and bling, buy one of those.

That one is pretty much the anti-bling truck there! Keep it simple man!

Makes me stop, point, and laugh every time I see a truck like this. Regardless of the brand. What a princess (and the truck is too).

Looks a lot like mine, I like it. I'll take my stock junk places the bling-blingers won't go because they don't want to scratch their bling-bling.
Nothing is quite so humbling as getting to a spot and seeing that a minivan and a Subaru beat you ( not kidding at all, I helped dig a minivan out of a snowbank near Devil's Head in Colorado one winter, to this day I have no idea how he got around the locked gate he was trying to get back out through when we found him). This guy and his GF were a bag of chips and a bottle of water away from living the Donner Party in real life though.
Seeing how there are lights in the rims, they probably didn't want to blow a bulb.
Let me say that again, slowly, and try to comprehend it. Lights.... in. .. the.... rims.
A rim/ tire change is all it would take to make it look decent. I don't get the trend of bearing killing rims, no wonder your front bearings don't last more than 5000 miles
I cant imagine the stress on the ball joints and wheel bearings from such an offset wheel.
To each his own, however I prefer to keep my truck for its intended purpose... to Work!

Yeah I must be an outcast.....I can dig it really. No different than a rat rod, dragster, lowrider, or a super clean oldie. Just something cool to look at. As long as it looks better than the other brands. With a grill like that, it's definitely representing Ford.
I would definitely love to do that to my truck but no where near practical for the family and I.
