What cam and intake

I’ve got a 2014 5.0 f150. I’m looking to draw as much low end out of the motor as I can and stay N/A. I am planning to swap cams but am unsure who and what specs to use. I don’t really care to build the motor for high top end hp output, although I’m definitely not afraid to gain hp. I would like to be sitting somewhere around 390-430 ft/lbs. without boosting. I was planning on putting the boss bolt on intake on, but from what I understand can weaken low end output, but if the numbers are minimal and I gain top end and am still sitting around what I want in trq I’m fine with a small sacrifice and still gaining some hp. If I swap cams would it be beneficial to change rockers and valve train etc on this motor. As the truck sits it has a CAI and TB spacer (which was a waste of 100.00) and geared 456. I have an 89 perf/toe tune with shift improvement as well.

Long tube headers and new new exhaust are going to be applied as well

You already have as much lowend torque as that displacement is capable of generating naturally aspirated.

I’m no A mechanic when it comes to building motors. Can you explain why that is?

Torque is a product of leverage and force, leverage is determined by the crankshaft throw and force by the cylinder displacement so all else being equal the bigger the motor the more torque it produces. There are some tweaks that will add small percentages to that number like higher compression, maximizing ignition advance and variable valve timing but as stated you already have all that so there is only 1 thing left to do.. forced induction.

Dang that sucks. Besides boosting all I can increase is my top end? If I changed my route to increase top end performance (nothing extremely high. Maybe 400 rwh at most) what kinda nd of losses would I expect to see in my low end or would the numbers stay relatively close?

If you simply spin it a little harder with a tune to gain more peak HP you should not lose anything at lower rpms.
