i have a realy dumb question but i'm new to automatic ford trucks
my question is wich "D" is drive and wich is overdrive i know one is od lockout but have heard differant answers
i have an 89 3.0
just wondering caus ethe gas mileage is horable
i've put new air filter plugs and pcv valve in it and it's about the same any sugestions ?

Also I read in the manual that the plain D is for mountian driving.
Keeps it from shifting back and forth between Passing Gear and Normal.
The Highlighted D is for everyday Normal driving.
