7.3 idi Help again

Hi again, so i made a post away back asking for help about my truck randomly dying and wouldnt start again. At first I thought it was my lift pump so i went and replaced that, then it started but would only run for a little or til it got up to temp. I replaced the injector pump. Found a used pump at a junk yard for 20 bucks, not really sure if it works but spins and sounds like the pump is working. I have tried it a couple times and still nothing. Idk what to do if someone could tell me how to test the pump with it installed or tell me to check something else thats be fantastic. Thank you!!

Aside from a cursory examination of the IP (like in the video link below), you won't be able to determine a "good" IP from a "bad" IP from a junkyard and no history: How to Determine a Good IDI Injector Pump (IP) from a Bad, and Explanation of the IP Cam Internals ? IDI Online

The video does give some decent information about the mechanics of the IP. So at the very least, you will have a brief understanding if the pump is mildly usable. However, aside from that, there is no real way to know if the IP is good for primetime.

let's assume your IP works. First, do you get fuel to the filter head? What to do if no Diesel Fuel is coming out of the Schroeder Valve on a 6.9 / 7.3 IDI ? IDI Online

Second, do you get fuel to thru the injector lines? How to Crack Injector Lines and Purge Air on a 6.9 / 7.3 IDI Diesel Engine ? IDI Online

If you still don't get fuel to the injector lines, then your IP might be garbage. At the very least, you got an IP core for really cheap. You could send that core off to R&D IDI Performance and have them rebuild it, or they could put that core charge down on a new IP from them.

Is R&D still in business because their Facebook hasn’t been active in a while and a lot of things are out of stock on their website

He is very much in business, I just got my Injection Pump from him a couple weeks ago.
He was out of stock on Injectors, and I sent him my spare set I got from PNP, and a couple weeks later I got them.

If he sends out a set of injectors and does not get the core returned, he won`t have any on hand to send right out or show in stock.

I don`t do face book so can`t help you there.

I think he is super busy and him and maybe an employee or two.
