I had some left over Raptor bed liner from my wifes El camino project so I decided to sand and redo the Bed of Pebbles . I didn't fix any dents as there was more dents than not .
I sprayed some Kirker Epoxy primer down first to seal any bare metal.
Here's the pics
Thanks !
Raptor is a 2 part urethane bed liner , it's great stuff . I used 1 kit for bed (4 bottles)
It sprays with a body shutz style gun that screws to the bottles . it's very easy to spray . I reduced the liner with 2oz of urethane reducer in each bottle to get a smaller texture .
here's some while sanding pics .
I have LINE-X in my daily, any idea how this stuff compares ? i'm eventually going to do the bed of the 71 and need something durable, it's going to get used as a truck, and the line-x is fuc$ing expensive.
I used the U-POL Raptor for the first time this past weekend. It lays down SO nice and was very easy to use. It just took some preparation, as all paint does. I will use it in the bed eventually, but for now, I used it as an undercoating for the cab. Yours came out looking great!
Raptor is about $100 for a box (4 bottles and hardner)
I sprayed my Wifes El camino bed with the Black raptor and then she wanted the outside done in Blue tinted Raptor .
So far so good , it's tough stuff and everything I read on it was positive . Key is the prep work !! must be a clean surface and lots of sanding for it to bite too .

That looks incredible! Very nice indeed. I'm wondering how it would hold up and if/when it came time to replace, how hard it would be to get off.
