I’m not sure if you own one of those or not, but if you do I’d be curious about what you think. I mounted a Ram Ball right to the plastic, just through-bolted it. When it’s hot out, everything squeaks in the tray from being tweaked. I wonder if you get the same thing with the built-right mount. I ultimately didn’t go with the built right because I could see having stuff get under the ‘rack’ and being a PITA to get back out.
I installed one of these around 2 weeks ago & absolutely love it. Great mount that can accommodate multiple applications. I currently have a RAM X grip for my phone & plan on later adding a second mount to hold some type of device for some extra forscan gauges.
Great mount. It's really well made & very simple to mount. the entire install took me less than 20min.
I have not had any issues with items falling under the Builtright. even if it did, it would not be difficult to remove. Lots of space behind & under the mount. I'm planning to add a 12v USB plug up there as well to power the devices I have mounted up there.
highly recommend for anyone looking for a very sturdy mounting platform.
No noise from the bracket at all but I used the 4 bolts to attach it to the tray. Even the long arm one that I put the phone on hardly moves. Use the other xgrip for the camera on the 5th wheel.
