yeah he widened the frame.....
ok well maybe I'll look into other options
I don't want to getinto rebuilding anything, just find a good injected engine/AOD trans without a zillion miles on it
the search continues....
I appreciate your advice

I use car=parts dot com.
Pick ur geographic area in the drop down box, know the Y/M/M for ur components...
Follow up w/a phone call after pickin.

Keep you eye open for a '96+ Explorer with a 302. That will meet all of your needs and they can be found for around $500.

No need. The explorer 5.0 should fit without any body lift.

tyvm for all the info I will check some of the sites out from the hotel this weekend..... I crew on a tf team & will finally have a little time.....
I may just put the body on a ranger chassis..... she doesn't want 4wd.... that way I can store the stock chassis & put it back when she tires of it
