So I’m thinking of selling my 17 f350 platinum power stroke and getting a 18 Shelby f150. Does anyone on here have one? If so how are you liking it? Also I know resale isn’t the best on these but will they hold their value fairly well?

I`d say go for a 2018 Raptor.
Yes, the V8 in the Shelby is nice but I really doubt that vehicle has been engineered as well as a Roush F150 with a V8 and definitely not better than a Raptor. I`m sure you know this but the Raptor will hold it`s value better than the other two. Roush also offers a Raptor.

The cool factor on the Shelby is pretty high but I have to agree with you 100%. The Raptor is a very nice factory built truck that will fetch huge bucks even when it's old.
The Shelby F150s are more like a conversion than an actual custom build. I would compare the quality to a Tuscany, but with nicer paint and leather. Almost all bolt on accessories. Like others said, go for an opinioned out Raptor for about the same price.
Great input guys, much appreciated. The problem I have with the raptor is being a 6 cylinder. It just goes against everything I’ve ever thought to take a small motor and wind it out 110% to make power. The Shelby Baja raptor only makes about 525 horse so power isn’t comparable to Shelby f150.
Im going to think about this for a bit but at this point I almost think I’d get the Shelby f150 or just keep my 17 lifted power stroke for a few more years.

What options to the raptor are you thinking I should do that would get it about to the Shelby price?
Why not just customize it yourself? Have Shelby add in the supercharger in the engine, but if you want it tricked out, there are websites that can give you better ideas.
I wanted the Raptor or Shelby but I also had to have the 6.5' bed so both were out for me. I am still thinking about adding in the supercharger, that's why I got the V-8.

A very common misconception of the ecoboost engine.

I think the Shelby F-150 would fall into the same category as the Shelby GT500 Mustang when it comes to resale value. There are even less of the Shelby truck than they do Raptors. An awfully lot of people aren't going to shell out $100k for a Shelby F-150. But there again there are a lot of folks that would say the same thing about a top of the line regular F-150 as well.

Ford does not make a Shelby F150 but it would be cool if they did offer such a truck with a factory warranty. Some Ford dealers offer the Shelby F150 conversion from Shelby American.
