This is my 2nd diesel since 2001 7.3. I just bought a 2018 f350 6.7. I take delivery on the 30th of May. Any suggestions on a good tuner. I will be pulling a 43ft fifth wheel around the country for the next couple years. Thank you for any Input. I've been out of the game for awhile.
I heard the Stryker module is pretty nice since they have some lofty claims without flashing the ECM so it's closer to undetectable, which ease of dealership detection sounds like is the main tuning concern these days. My F-150 EcoBoost was tuned and it was ridiculously fast and powerful even with a 6" lift, but I'm personally going to hold off on the F-250 for a few. Besides, I've only had mine for 3 weeks and would like to get a good solid mental performance baseline first anyway if I ever do change my mind
I get it, had my '06 all hopped up. You won't need a tuner. Wait until you do some towing with the new truck. The thing is a freaking beast. I know, we always want more, but give it a shot first and consider reliability, warranty, longevity and your wallet.
My 7.3 was crazy awesome after tuning ,exhaust down pipe and cold air intake just figured I would start doing leg work now. Had 7.3 for 3 days before I did all this to her. Thank you for replying I usually don't do forums but already I like this one.
I’ve read a few posts on Stealth modules for these trucks (6.7 PSD) and they look pretty solid and easy to add, plug-&-play, or remove if needed. I was reading about one model that had three preset output levels: 1 = +30 HP, 2 = +60 HP, 3 = +90 HP
im running the sct bdx tuner and am very pleased. drives well, good bump in power, factory emissions remain in place and transmission feels great. im running the performance tune which they claim is 130hp/210tq on the dyno.

I totally agree, I was coming from a 2005 towing my very heavy Excel 5th wheel! My 2017 tows it like a dream!!! Stops it like a dream too!! Give it a chance first.
Mikey, how long have you been running the BDX? Can you comment on mpg or overall drivability of the increase?
The Stryker/Stealth seem too good to be true, and kinda sketchy. Not looking to trick the ECM on a $75k electronics driven truck. Just my view on it.
ive never paid much attention to mpg, will report back in a few days. regarding driveability though, it couldn't really get any better. power comes on very linear, drives like stock just stronger. transmission firms a little under heavy acceleration, which i prefer, as it felt overly soft after installing 37s. highway driving is significantly improved, needing only a light touch on the throttle for passing. im very pleased, especially for the price.
