any advise or tricks of the trade on replacing master cylinder on 2005 f250?

haven't seen the vehicle yet, belongs to my son, ...how can u tell the difference?....thanks for any info...

Doesn't matter if it is hydro or vacuum boost. Just make sure that you bench bleed the replacement cylinder before installing it. When you actually do the replacement try to be somewhat speedy about it to avoid getting air into the ABS system and bleed at the master first and then at the wheels. If you do get air in the ABS module you will need to have someone with a high end scan tool like a Ford IDS do a service bleed to get all the air out.
