anti virus
Short story, years of having an IPhone I switched to a Google pixal 2, an android. Should I be running anti virus like avg? Figured the best people to ask are my Fte pals. Thoughts?

Don't know, but avg was bought out by avast. If you have avast on a pc, they apparently offer a free version for android ( and maybe IOS as well).
I only have android and kindle tablets with no valuable info on them, so I don't bother.

ps -- if you go with avast, they frequently notify you about possible issues that could be fixed with an upgrade ($$)

I have the free version of AVAST...never an issue. I've paid for Norton and McAfee in the past and they didn't protect me as well as the AVAST free. As mentioned above^^^...they're always trying to upsell you though.

Thanks, I run AVG on laptop and am familiar with them, My son says I don't need anything so ,,,,,,keep on researching. Side note. I dropped my phone yesterday leaving my office so I went to Verizon and replaced the zagg protector screen $50. I should have registered the damn thing when I bought phone (free replacement) I did register it yesterday tho with this one
