I did the heads and fogs that were referenced in the other thread. I only removed the snorkel on passenger side and the washer fluid fill tube on the drivers side. Super easy 30 mins start to finish. I highly recommend these.
So did you remove the gaskets then? Sorry I haven’t read the whole other post (too big).
You have to remove the gaskets. If you leave the stock gaskets stuck to the housing and then try to install the Beamtechs with their own gasket, it's not going to happen.
It must be that these lights work well with the reflectors in the headlights on these trucks, but not necessarily in other applications. I originated the Budget LED thread. I like the Beamtech so much in my truck that last week I ordered a set for my 2007 Mustang GT. Great low beam, miserable high beam in that vehicle. The diodes are oriented at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions just as Beamtech says to do.
Same here... I thought I would be able to notice the lights wiggle at night on the road... But I don't see it ...so left pinkish in place...I did keep Ford red ones just in case I get the foggy housing problem... But so far they are not fogging and work great
I kept the factory gaskets just in case I need them later. Mine were not loose at all with the pink Beamtech gaskets, but not as tight as they were with the red Ford gaskets either.
Can anyone tell me the part # of the Led bulbs? Also is it 2 bulbs per side?
Thanks
2 bulbs per side. All four have both high & low beam. You're looking for an H13 Beamtech. Amazon has them, word is that they can be found a bit cheaper on ebay.
