On to the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas and my old stomping grounds. I get to camp on my friend's ranch complete with hookups and had a chance to fish the Laguna Madre. Next stop is the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The rig will stay on the ranch until the I fly back at the end of July.

The pictures don't do the model justice. It was really amazing. The artist worked on it for 30 years and it took a complete year to set up in the museum.

Welcome to Alaska! This was my first opportunity to visit Alaska. Last year i looked at driving but it was a 44 hour drive each way from Seattle to Anchorage. This year I opted for flying to visit a buddy. Enjoy the pics. These are shots of a day trip to Whittier on Prince William Sound.
Landing at sunset in Anchorage. 11:30pm
Outside at 1am having a cigar. This time of year it never really gets dark.
Tunnel entrance to Whittier. The tunnel is a WWII era train tunnel. Traffic goes one way at the top of the hour and the other way at the bottom of the hour. It is about 2 miles long
A mountain goat
Glacier.
