Moved on to Joe Wheeler State Park near Florence Alabama to visit my Mom and drop off my sister who had been traveling with me through the first part of the summer.

On to the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas and my old stomping grounds. I get to camp on my friend's ranch complete with hookups and had a chance to fish the Laguna Madre. Next stop is the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The rig will stay on the ranch until the I fly back at the end of July.

Man, some more epic pics.

All very cool! That painting for the circus has so much to look at. And the scale model... wow...

And some pick-up truck trivia!

The pictures don't do the model justice. It was really amazing. The artist worked on it for 30 years and it took a complete year to set up in the museum.

Very nice, Professor. The Banyan tree is amazing. Nice Specs too. Making us working folks pretty envious. Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to Alaska! This was my first opportunity to visit Alaska. Last year i looked at driving but it was a 44 hour drive each way from Seattle to Anchorage. This year I opted for flying to visit a buddy. Enjoy the pics. These are shots of a day trip to Whittier on Prince William Sound.

Landing at sunset in Anchorage. 11:30pm

Outside at 1am having a cigar. This time of year it never really gets dark.

Tunnel entrance to Whittier. The tunnel is a WWII era train tunnel. Traffic goes one way at the top of the hour and the other way at the bottom of the hour. It is about 2 miles long

A mountain goat

Glacier.

More Alaska Shots. You have to love Alaska living. My buddy and I flew to dinner after he got of work. Why not?

Welcome to the greatest State in the Union. How long are you visiting for? The family and I will be driving down to Denali Nat'l Park this weekend, taking the TC into the Park. I might have a couple of Padron 1964 or 1926 cigars to share if we were to meet up.

Thanks Warbird. The Padrons sound great, but unfortunately I am back in the lower 48. i am running behind in getting pics posted. Denali was on my list of things to see but I did not make it this trip. Time to plan a return visit.
