One time I drove thru a fresh section of asphalt and had some serious road tar all over my F150. I found some bug and tar remover (I think it was Armoral brand, green can) at Auto Zone. It worked great, it foams up so you can let it sit for a while and then it wipes off pretty easy.
Clay, a good polish, or WD40. Gas belongs in the tank not on the paint .. lol I would never , as a detailer myself, put gas on a clients paint. But that is just me.
steal your wives fingernail polish remover. It will clean anything from anything. You just have to be careful about over using it. The stuff is just acetone with hydrating agents. Don't use on galss or plastic though. We have used it at work to take blood off leather. If i am not badly mistaken it is used in the dry cleaning process as well.
LOL.... That does sound kinda of funny come to think of it. I build sport boats. We use leater interior in the cabins. Fiberglass is extremely sharp and blood stains leather quickly. Hope that clears that up.
