Accessory Fuse Problems

Does anyone know what the accessory fuse powers in a 1976 f250 highboy? I’m trying to track down what’s blowing the fuse. Thanks for your help

I believe one ACCY would be HOT in RUN....that would power the radio, etc.....Don't know which one, if you have two....? Mebbe don't limit your pokin' around to just the ACCY slot on the ignition switch,,try the RUN one too.

It's easy to confirm for yourself. Just test continuity (BEEP) between the BATT terminals and any given terminal ------ different positions of the key switch.

Hope you have a manual.....the wiring diagrams are gettin harder and harder fer me to see, but you young'uns should be able to tell gnat crap from a splice across a page at 20 feet.....

Haha ok thanks. I just did a smoke test on it because I tried following everything I could. I guess when I did that it burnt up whatever was grounding out so I guess I’ll see what happens haha

Shooot.....the smoke test....yeah, I'd forgotten about that one....Hope you managed to capture some to put back later......

On a more serious note, were you harmed? And is your vehicle not a piece of burnt marshmallers?

Do you remember what circuit you were testing when you let the smoke out of the wires?

Hahaha I just connected the two ends where the fuse goes in with a piece of wire to see where it was shorting out
