Bumps in TV Ads, Movies, Or Videos
Maybe its just my imagination, but, I think I am seeing our beloved Bumps popping up in all sorts of media. Are they just that cool they are used to sell just about everything, or promote a move or video? I'll answer my own question. HECK YES! Another member recently posted one in a new Country song video. I have been seeing this Boxwood Green Bump in a Boost ad for awhile now. I am guessing it's a '69 or '70.
Others that come to mind:
- Varsity Blues Blue and White '70-'72..
- I think the movie Dazed and Confused had one?? It will be a good excuse for me to watch the movie again and verify.
- I also remember seeing one in the Steve McQueen movie Bullit (they also had a pretty nice '68 Mustang GT in there too.
- A '68 in Charles Bronson's movie Mr. Majestic. Bad **** chase and jump scenes.
Any others you guys have seen??

Don't know if you were aware too, but a few of the scenes in the Mr Majestyk movie were also featured in a Ford TV commercial around that time as well. Seems like it was more around '70 or so, but I'm not sure of the time-frame.
I saw all the jumpin' and jivin' on regular old TV Sunday nights years before I caught the movie and recognized where the footage had come from!
Don't remember if they let viewers know it was from a movie and not made for the commercials, or I just didn't notice. Sure was cool to watch though.

Found another one. The wife and are watching tv tonight, and she says, hey, that Ford truck on the Macy's ad looks like your old truck. Sure enough. It appears to be a New Lime/Boxwood Green color scheme from '70-'71. I had a '70 with those colors. Very cool color combo. I doubt the guy sitting on the bed has any idea what he is even sitting on. But, he looks good doing it.

Sorry to say I've seen way to many of our trucks on TV today and tonight. Sad state of affairs in Paradise, CA with the fire that pretty much leveled the town and left only a few buildings standing.
As they pan around filming for the news stations, several 67-72 and 73-79 trucks came into view. Looked like most of them had been pretty well cared for too, until the fire toasted some of them to bits.
One later Super (or might have been a Crew) Cab long bed model still had most of it's paint and you could tell it had been super clean just the day before.
Very sad in all respects.
Sorry for the downer part of this otherwise happy thread. But it needed to be mentioned somewhere I thought.
