Power Steering Swap
94 ranger 2.3 manual steering. i was just wondering how complicated it would be to make this a power steering truck. dosent seem like it would be too complicated, thinking bolt ons unless there is electronics involved. Could i go to a junkyard and get the componenets from another truck? would it have to be a 94 or would others work? thanks for any suggestions power steering would be really nice.

Find a truck with the complete assembly, probably 93-94 to be safe, and scavenge that bad boy!
You need the reservoir, pump, belt, some hoses, gear box, steering shaft (possibly)....check a Chilton's and it should show the layout of the system and everything needed. It will bolt in, though....
If nothing else, take a lot of pics of what you see to compare with during the swap....

Power Steering Swap
may have found a donor truck. 90-92 4wd. mines 2wd will this work? also will differnt motors have different pumps or not? will i need to swap out the tie rods or just everythjing above them? thanks
