Seeking Idle

My engine has been seeking idle for the last couple of months. I will start it in the morning and it will go thur its warm up then the idle will smooth out. Then it starts looking for its idle after that kind of like it lost it place.

i have also been having probs with the battery gage. just wondering if there is a connection there when the gage is showing a discharge the idle is seeking. I have put a v-o-m on the battery at idle and i just can not seem to get it to show any error of charging voltage i am at 14.88 constant.

this has me baffled been to the local mechanic 3 times an there were not any codes present. he did say the air sensor reading did not change with the change in rpm..when he took it up to 2000 but told me that there is no code no problems.

Seeking Idle

I had a similar problem with my E150 and my Taurus...Turned out to be a gummed up throttle body. If you use a throttle body cleaner, hold on to the little red tube...they sometimes launch themselves right into the intake.
