Changing wheel size

I have been considering buying a set of new wheel and tire takeoffs for my 2017 6.2 XL. The original steel wheels are 17", but I have only seen 18" or 20" takeoffs. Has anyone experienced the effects good or bad on a truck and are there any means to correct speedometer or computer for the diameter change?

Take offs

As far as tire sizes, yes, the factory sized tires can be changed via ForScan tool or the dealer. You may have see other posts referring to asthetics and ride quality. IMO, the 17s would provide the smoothest ride as they have the most sidewall. I’ve also heard that the 20s are better for weight (rougher ride too) but I’d like to see what others may chime in to say regarding this.
