Good Saturday Eve.
Thanks Jim.
Had a nice ride up to Bridgeport CA had lunch at the Barn (great food.) Then traveled some dirt Up to Buckeye Creek. Great afternoon. I love living so close to the Eastern Sierra's. My wife and I were raised in this area. As a kid I use to ride with my Uncle as they drove Cattle from Yerington NV to Bridgeport CA. I remember stay up there in the summers. The Family house still stands in Bridgeport.
Great Sunday Jim & Gang.
Yea I knew guys that lived in LA in the 40s. From what they shared was it was real a lovely area. By the 70s they headed out. I haven't been in the LA area in 30 years.
I grew up in unincorporated Whittier. The map said Sante Fe Springs, the mail was address Whittier, and if we need Police, we called the Norwalk sheriff dept. LOL. I played baseball as a kid, and the area that used to have 3 baseball fields on it is no longer there. It was kitty cornered from Consolidated Freightways. They are still there, but the baseball fields are now a street and a building. There is a house with chicken wire around his fence which used to be the right field fence of the largest field, it is now bordering the street. They diverted the street to put a building there.
Hi Guys.
Thanks Pat for closing last months BS tread.
Greg, Sounds like a wonderful time.
We are taking a vacation this year to CO. then back through UT. We don't know our exact route or how long we will be gone. We just plan to load our new Equinox AWD and go. We are looking at Mid June. I want to see the Auto Museum in Gateway CO. We plan to see all the National Parks we come close to. Moab is one of the places I want to spend sometime at. I have been there 20 years plus years ago.
