e- brake adjustment

hey all... does anyone know how to adjust ethe e brake? i took my brakes apart and was shocked at what i saw... my pad on the drivers side was cracked in half... what... and on tghe other side my cylinder is frozen... then one of the springs broke so i got a brake kit and my ebrake cable was also frozen... i replaced the cable and when i press the lever it dosent hold... my brakes are also feelin really spongey... i bled them at all the tires i didnt touch the front brakes but just to make sure... any ideas?

righto... sometimes im a bit forgetful... lol its a 95 bronco xlt. 5.8l 3" suspension lift 35x 12.5. do u need anything else?

e- brake adjustment

Start with adjusting the shoes first. I usally go on about a 5 mile trip applying the brakes now and then just to slow the vehicle. (drive about 40 slow to 20, speed up) This should "seat the brakes good enough to get a good adjustment. Tighten your shoes enough to where you can't spin the wheel, then back them off until they JUST clear the drums. (can't hear them dragging)
Then I would continue to bleed some more. If they're spongy, there is still air in them. After that try your park brake again.
