I like there exhaust manifolds, really free flowing. Probably lot of head work to.

You’re not gonna put anything as valuable as that in there....

Cale Thompson once posted pics of a catastrophic engine failure he had at the track in his compound turbo 7.3 OBS. When you looked under the hood into the valley, you could see the ground. It was impressive carnage. I saw that engine at the BTS shop stuffed under a workbench and asked Brian what went wrong. In typical Brian fashion, he responded ‘It was fine at 106psi, but not at 107psi’ (info from data logs).

That's funny. 106 psi tow pig, wonderful.

Too bad BTS is so far away. Sounds like this guy is pretty cool.

My wife's Volvo has a turbo and a supercharger. Little 4 banger makes 315 hp. Or so they claim.

Recorded my gauges today on video so I could keep eyes on the road. Did this due to recent boost level achievement videos by others. Hit momentary 33psi merging onto the highway under nearly full throttle (still haven’t ever put it to the floor..) This was probably 3/4-13/16 throttle... ha.

Running a Php 80 DD tune, stock injectors, 3.73 and 33s, unloaded excursion from 25-70mph. Left a pretty heavy black cloud in the rear view; I’m sure California was pissed.

It had some serious seat of the pants power, I’m sure there’s more untapped potential but that’s plenty for me! No need to blow anything up.

There is an old build thread on powerstrokearmy from years ago. Truck mostly sits now as I bought a 2020. TVS feeds a 6.0 intercooler which feeds a S369sxe. There is a one way butterfly bypass near the turbo inlet so once the turbo is spooled the blower is unloaded. Idles with 2psi manifold pressure. I hand built a set of 350/200s and spent hours tuning it. Bone stock 300K mile engine, no studs, or springs etc. ZF5 truck with 3.55s.

Very impressive. I'll head over to PSA to look for your thread.

I guess I just want to whine a bit here..... Please bear with me.

Made plans to finally tow with the sxe today. Got everything prepped, car on charge, loaded stuff up and found out the track I was going to was having a special event today which doesn’t include my class. Searched around and others were also having special events. Finally found one and made the plans with my dad and uncle to head up this morning.

Then it hit me. We’re in strange times and I’d forgotten about the corona. Our area has low numbers and is fairly safe for the moment. I had previously checked the original track and it’s area has very low numbers as well. Checked the new track and it’s area is in a sharp increase in numbers.
I feel confident I could remain safe at the track with no issues. But my dad however is in a very high risk category and he isn’t very mindful of his surroundings. Can’t go into details but he doesn’t always recognize risks etc. I would feel awful if he were to pick it up during our trip so I canceled.

With all that said, since everything is ready I may just hook to the thing and drag it around a bit today. I’m so tired of waiting to tow with the sxe.
