Hey all - searched but didn't find what I was looking for. 2017 CCSB 4:BDS 37x12.5 Ridge Grapplers. Considering the husky kickback flaps and wanted to see if anyone else is running these with a similar setup. I've measured and re-measured but I'm not 100% confident I won't rub. If you have pics, even better.
Here's what you want if you get in some mud regularly. Bullet Proof kick-backs
Not cheap, but are well made and harder to rip off than cheap ones.
About 2yrs ago, I would of completely agreed. I bolted kick backs on my 2012 ram and loved them. I was always in mud as I used my truck for pipeline work. The kickbacks were great and I installed them by bolting to the wheel well liner instead of the fender flare you have. After ripping them off a couple times, I had no choice but to bolt them to the fender flare like you did. They didn’t even stay on for a month and had both fender flares ripped apart. Remember, this was used A LOT in mud.
Now, I have the gator back mud flaps and no drill brackets. It is the best mud flap design I have seen for strength and durability. I’m sure combining the gator back no drill brackets and the kickback mud flaps would be the best design so you have total strength and less chance of rubbing. Some modification would be required but I’ve seen a superduty with that combo with 37s driving around town. This route will put a pretty big dent in your wallet though.
Yes i agree, they make a no drill bracket for the Bullet Proofs as well.
I saw them in a local Ford dealers show room on a truck. They looked pretty good.....but im guessing they add $4-500 to the cost.
I think you can buy the 4 brackets for about $200.
Mudflaps and me never got along. I never did a cheap install and did things like removing the wheels to mount properly. The no drill brackets have added years to my life. Lol
Edit. I was not implying you did a cheap install. I meant like cut corners doing an install just to get it done. Lol.
