Brake pads
There are now so many choices for brake pads and price ranges from $24 to $100 which do you choose? Which mfg or type of pad gives best the bang for buck?
2000 XLT 5.0 68k miles no doubt will be needing it's first brake job soon.

Brake pads
I've used the Performance Friction Carbon Metalic pads on my wife's Explorer and they work really well once they get "broken in" to the disc. They seem to pull it down faster with no fade even from very high speed. The stock Ford pads are'nt bad either but they cost as much as the carbon ones do.

Brake pads
Don't know if you buy off Ebay, but I bought some Wagner semi-metallic from a seller @ $14.95 + shipping $5.00 + insurance $1.30. This total was about half what the exact same set would have cost me locally. Do a search for brakepads or explorer brake pads on ebay to find the item. I received the pads in 3 days regular mail. Regards
