Hi All, I've got a 2000 F-250 Super Duty, 2WD, and I've been swapping out the ball joints as they were in pretty bad shape. Everything went smoothly except that when I went to replace the bolt for the top joint, I couldn't get the bolt all the way through. It only seemed to go about halfway. So I looked in the hole and saw that the shim seems to have moved upwards when I put it back together. What do I need to do to remedy this? Do I need to drop the whole knuckle off again or what? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I will guess that piece on top comes out. That may be how you align the front end. Plenty of write ups on 4wd not 2wd.
I've watched some videos and apparently it's a shim that adjusts the camber of the wheel. I'm just wondering if I can smack it back down with a hammer until I can get the bolt through, or is that going to muck up everything!
