Have a stock automatic 97 f350 xlt hd dually turbo diesel powerstroke and heard people doing an engine swap for a 12v Cummins, any one here have particular experience in this area? Also, does the roush performance company do work on the 12v Cummins engines saw some turbo enhancement parts but think it was for the stock international engine. Any preference on upgrading the transmission type for trail running mudding and bogging? Preferred suspension?

 

There a lot of people swapping in cumaparts in sure. I don't feel that need personally. There are a lot of power upgrades for the ol' 7.3. I would suggest start reading and learning. There are a lot of ways to skin a cat so to speak.

Are you considering a Cummins swap ? What' the goal of the truck? Power can be had with a powerstroke but I prefer the simpliity of the 6 cylinder. Your choice
