I have a Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 285/75-16 under mine. This is the second tire however. When Discount tire put my spare underneath it wasn't all the way back against the bumper and caught on fire while I was towing a trailer. Now I have some heat wrap around the exhaust and I make damn sure the tire is ALL the way back. Just keep an eye on it. I don't believe anything larger will fit.

Spare tire?
Is your truck lifted? If you check the FAQ (look at the top threads on the Super Duty forum listings) you'll see that 295's are the biggest tire you should run without a lift anyway. Just one more thing you might want to consider.
I'm running 285/75/R16 on all 4 corners, but was too cheap to replace the stock spare -- it's a 265/75R16 (factory option for bigger tires all around). I can see enough room for a 285/75R16, but Tman634's observation that you can't fit much more seems accurate to me.
I'm running 295's on the stock rims and I haven't had any problems. I was a little dissapointed though, I saw a F-350 with 295's and it looked GOOD. On my truck they looked small...just a tad bigger than the stock 265's...but if I look at the sidewall, I can tell it's much thicker than the 265's. Good tires too!!
I am running the stock wheels. I wouldn't want to go any larger on the stock wheels though. Any larger and I believe that I would have problems with uneven wear. I am running 55 psi. in the front and 45 psi in the rear to get the tread flat on the ground. This is unloaded of course, with a Leer cap on the back. Any more in the rear and the outer edges of the tire doesn't even touch.

Spare tire?
My 285's are also on the stock 7 rims, although the tire manufacturer specifies a minimum of 7.5. Haven't had any problems, but I don't think I would go any bigger either.
Somebody posted a pic of a 315 x 75 x 16 fitting in the stock spare location here or maybe another site had a link to it but nevertheless it did fit. I am going to be needing a spare to match my 35's very very soon I have been gambling to long without one.

Spare tire?
I read about that truck... "The only modification it took was the slight bending of a tab that holds the smaller stock spare in place. Once that's done, you're in business." Also, the tire is a hair away from the exhaust. They haven't had any problems, but someone on this board had his spare smoke & light up. I would definately suggest moving the exhaust and/or heat shield. Don't know about you, but I don't feel like burning an expensive spare, much less the truck it's bolted onto!
