Wing vent glass too big, will sand it down

All the wing windows that I have seen are laminated glass. Once hardened tempered glass will shatter the entire window if you just nick it on the edge. If it were my truck I would just take the whole truck into the glass shop. They are professionals and have tools to deal with fitting glass. Also if they break the glass it is easy enough for them to make another.
I assume that you used soapy water when sliding the glass into the the channels? It is impossible to tell for sure but it almost looks like they are not fully seated into the channels . . . assuming that the glass is the right size.

I finally got the nerve to put my belt sander to the edge of the wing vent glass. The sanding belt on my belt sander tore so I had to go the the hardware store to get a new one. I got 80 grit. It went OK with no mishaps. I did use a spray bottle to wet the glass down. I wore a mask and safety glasses. I only did the passenger side which needed the least amount sanded off. I'll do the drivers side later.

Thanks guys. It was as easy as the guy at Safelite said it would be. I drew a straight line from the top corner of the frame to the bottom corner. I didn't go the whole way to the line but very close. I then moved the division bar forward to enable the window to go up and down easier and am still able to closeness ENT easily without using the rubber out of place. I haven't been closing the driver's side at all.

I do want to call the Safelite guy to ask him how to round the edges and smooth them out.
