I`m thinking of replacing my tires since they appear to be the originals . I was going to get Maxxis 8008 s but now i`ve read on other forums about the new Goodyear Endurance. Size is 205/75/14 . Have not had the trailer on a scale yet but loaded i would guess about 6000 Lbs. Thoughts on which tires to replace with.
I bought the Maxxis last year as it seemed at the time no one had any experience with the Goodyear. Wasn't a good year for camping last year so only have about 60 miles on them. When they took off the china bombs, they had great tread been covered but 6 years old. Had big bulge on inside sidewall of one. Glad I replaced.
It might be worth getting to the scale, in that size you should be able to get load range C or D tires, and the processor might be different between the two .
People seem to like the location of the Goodyear factory not sure if there's any reviews of durability or quality based on anything else.
Quick online research : Goodyear Endurance Load range D 1820 Lbs a 65 PSI speed up to 87mph
Maxxis 8008 No load range stated 2040Lbs @65PSI speeed up to 65 mph
pricing seems to be very close, Thanks for all the answers and opinions.
Last year I bought some Carlisle radial trail HD in the 205/75r14 LRD for $50 each at Wal-Mart.
went up from a LRC to the LRD and Got an 81mph speed rating. Pretty tough deal to beat. I got to look at them before they installed them and they felt very well built. Much better tire than the ones I replaced.
Mike ; I wasn`t considering Carlisle because i know people who had them on boat trailers and were very unhappy with them. I did try and find reviews on them and not many recent ones came up. $50 is a great price but i`m concerned more with reliability .
The new, improved Carlisle Radial Trail RH and HD have been out at least a couple of years longer than the Goodyear Endurance. Due to the lack of anyone complaining of a bad Carlisle now, my guess is that's a pretty good tire now. The early iteration of the Carlisle as well as the China made Goodyear Marathon had a terrible reputation.

Atlee just thought it was strange there was no reviews of the Carlisle s positive or other wise since about 2014. I was thinking nobody was buying them . Price being so much less scares me just a little bit too. i have a bout 2 weeks to make up my mind . I will post my decision .
So far i have no regrets, but my trips are few and relatively short compared to what some folks do. Time will tell, but my initial impression was quite good. Good enough to allow them to be installed, which had there been any question , I would have ordered something different.
sidewalls felt good and stiff and they were fairly heavy for the size.
I`ve had he Carlisle RH`s for the last 10 years (2 sets). haven't had an issue with them. my next set (3rd) will be the HD`s. all were LR "E". been to Disney, Myrtle beach, Smoky`s, Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, UP, northern WI many different times. not all on the same set, split between 2 sets. Carlisle has really stepped up and are offering a superior product.
And yes the old Carlilse`s had a bad reputation. Boat trailers were the worst as those are notoriously known for lack of maintenance!
I've been a fan of the Maxxis 8008 for a while now. I had a set installed on my first enclosed trailer and put maybe 5-6 miles on it before I sold it for a bigger trailer. The new trailer got the second set of Maxxis' tires and when I sold that trailer, they had between 16-17 thousand miles on it and they still looked like more than 1/2 tread. So in Oct., 2016 I bought a 34 1/2' Toy Hauler that came with Trailer King tires on it. I towed it home from the dealership (375 miles), parked it till spring, then hooked it up and drove to Tire Discount and had a set of four Maxxis tires installed on it and sold the trailer king tires cheap. Last year, I towed the toy hauler probably close to 7 thousand miles and the tires look practically new. Never an issue with any of the three sets of Maxxis' that I've owned. I'm guessing that the fairly new Endurance tires will and are working out well, as I've not really heard any complaints about them.....and I'm on three different RV forums.
