i have one more question. i was wondering what year the truck is , in the site that short forty sent to me. and i was wondering if the headlights from the '57-'59 grill or at least headlight area will fit the '60. i was thinking if they do then i can cut out the headlght bezel area and french those in and put an old merc. teeth grill in the middle. thanks again.
The truck on that site is at least a 57 grille and hood. 58-60 had four headlights. But if your welding skills are good you could do just about anything.
Since we finished our 59 and have had it at several cruise nights and a couple shows, every one comments about keeping it stock when I mention doing some customizing to it in a couple of years. I have to admit, that my wife is the one in the family that first liked this truck and wanted it. Since the 18 months of work I put into it , it has grown on me just the way it is stock.
