Appropriate Threads
Just a question, not a complaint. Why are some "car" threads in the Gen. Disscussion forum deleted and not others? I noticed a while ago when someone asked why their thread was deleted the modorater sayed it was because this is a ford "Truck" only forum. That makes sense, but why do some get deleted and not others?

It many depends on how many posts a person has.
If a person one post, the person obviously see how great this web site it and wants to take advantage of that but has nothing to OFFER the FTE site.
However, if the user has 100+ posts to their credit, we will let the odd one through.
We like to think of the FTE site as a person's *Extended Family*

I think that makes since, although I thought that the whole purpose of the General Conversation was to talk about non-truck things Were they getting too far into tec stuff, like to the point of go find a car forum, or what?

We do both.
We Can Suggest a CAR related web site to them or let it run here.
It just depends on the content.
Yes we are a Truck Site, but I have had people show up on FTE that later on find out they also have a Ford Truck .
