Here is my new to me 1972 F250 390 4 speed. Always wanted a highboy, can't afford one so picked up a '70 F250 4X4 chassis. Plan is to one day move body and motor to '70 chassis. Plan on doing the Dana 44 HP swap as soon as I can locate one I can afford. Already picked up a 3G alternator, I'm cleaning it, thinking of rebuilding it. It tested good, but when I tore it down brushes are beat and races are black. Also got the fan out of the same '94 Cougar.
The PO had bought some headers but never installed them does anyone know if these are any good?
I plan on using Remflex 3009 Exhaust Gasket set.
So now I have put this on 2 other sites, didn't get much feed back: What modification have you done that you love, not loved, whats on your dream list?
My goal is to have a good summer cruiser that will see some light towing, minor off roading more than anything I just want a cool truck to drive. I already have a '99 F250 for anything heavy. Was wondering if anybody has a toploader in a 4X4?
Thanks for all you help and advise, Troy
I bought the stage 8 bolts for my truck but was disappointed with the poor fit of the washers. Most pipes were too close to the bolts for it to work as intended. Ended up only getting the washers and clips on 3 or four bolts and some washers I had to grind off a bit. Just used the bolts alone on the others. Nice bolts though. The allen head/hex head combo is nice when working in tight spots.
My first set of rimflex gaskets (ordered on Amazon) were folded over to make them fit in the box. I called the 1-800 number and talked to the inventor. He sent me a free set next day mail.

There are times when I wish I could make the Postman work on my truck for a few hours... would give him a different appreciation for the "DO NOT FOLD" instructions
