Question Trans. quarts ?

Just rebuilt the trans on a 86 areostar with a A4LD overdrive.
Not one book shows how many quarts of tranny fluid to put in.
The torque converter is empty. does anyone know?

Trans. quarts ?

Most auto transmissions have a range of 14 - 17 quarts. If its bone dry, fill the converter, or "prime" it in some way to get fluid in there before you start up. You can probably start at 12 qts or so (including what you put in the converter) if its been drained out then start watching the dipstick. I'm thinking the owners manual should show the capacity.
