1979 F-150 SuperCab Value?
I have been the proud owner of a 79 F-150 SuperCab for 5 years now. Its a great truck and just die hard reliable. But, it has come the time that I need to pass it along. The old Ford never gets driven, and doesnt get the attention or love it once did.
Its a 79 F-150 SuperCab. 4x4, 400, NP 435 Trans, NP 205 Transfer case, Ford 9" rear and Dana 44 Front. Believe its a 3.55 gear truck.
Engine is the 400, ive installed an Edelbrock intake, 600 cfm Holley vac secondary carb, recurved the distributor, Comp XE268H Cam with matching lifters pushrods and valve springs. Its pretty sporty for being in a heavy truck and sounds awesome through the frame rail long tubes. New alluminum radiator, fan clutch and Super sucker shroud.
All wear parts were replaced about 1000 miles ago including brake system and all hoses and such.
Trans shifts fine, 4x4 works great. But the rear end is a peg leg.
Interior is nice for this old of a truck, a strange green color!
cab needs cab corners, but is solid otherwise.
Downside is the truck has a home built funky flat bed. But its solid, just ugly.
Custom front bumper with highlift jack and three spot lights, four more spot lights on the headache rack.
Glass is great also, new cab seals all around.
What are these trucks going for now days? Would it be worth more here since pretty much everyone is an enthusiast?
Thanks for the input!!

So F150 (1/2 ton 5 lug axles)...But SC 4x4....so does it have leaf springs for the front suspension instead of coils and radius arms?? In Oklahoma probably a 2 to 5k truck. Good luck.
Post it in the classified section on here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/m...e/cars/search/ Post it in the Oklahoma state FTE chapter, you should be a member of that chapter BTW?

WelderGuy..........
If you can, post a couple pics of your truck. In Feb of '18, bought my wife a 79 F150, Super Cab, 4x4, C6, long box, healthy 400, goose neck hitch, green interior and carpet, duel tanks and the switch valve works. We got it for $1500. It has a couple of dents on the front fender and door, surface rust but nothing rust thru. I looked at one other specimen and it had a MT, a little better body for $1400. Wifey wanted the auto not the manuel. ALSO, location location location makes a big difference and sell price.
