Does anyone knows if ford will make that option available again in the future ? They seem to be very discreet about this. Can't find much info on it on the web.
It was the Class 4 wide track front axle option offered on dually F350's in 2008-2009, if I recall. Not a big seller. The Ford F450 offers the same. Cut turning radius down like 5 feet. I doubt you'll see it. The current F350 probably offers the same the Fat Boy offered 8 years ago.

I saw a 2015 with this option recently so that's why I was asking. And it seemed like the same axel as the 450.
I custom ordered my truck and the only option I was missing is this one. I prefer the 3.55 and 17 inch wheel and better payload of the f350. Only thing I do not like is the turning radius.
It’s called the sidetrack axle and not available on the F350 dually anymore, only the F450 now. A big reason to go 450,but then you get the 19.5” wheels and tires and the higher axle ratios. I believe 450 only down to 4.30 axles, whereas 350 can go lower in the diesel, ie 3.55,3.73, 4.10s.
Okay just so everyone understands it is called "Wide Track" not fatboy or sidetrack. The option was part of the Tow boss package which was discontinued unfortunately. The F450 retains the wide axle.

Ford internally calls it the Fatboy.
What's confusing is if you go onto Fordparts, and look for front axle housings (part 3010), you will find three options for the 2017+: Narrow track, HD Wide Track, and ''Fatboy'' Wide track.
Now, not much is stopping me from ordering the Fatboy housing, except no one at Ford seems to be able to verify if it is actually the wide track axle with the standard sized inner Cs.
