I would think a rock shard, splinter would b what broke the back window. My truck is at 28,000 Km, second winter, one crack, very small rock chip that has spread about 8 inches long now. Now this winter, 2nd winter, I have 3 or more little stars from rocks on the road, at least two at once.
2005 truck, 13 winters, 8 windshields, 2000 truck, about 5 windshields in 5 winters.
86 5 litre mustang GT, 8 years, never a rock chip, but I was always going so fast and around everyone so fast, not a single rock chip or windshield replaced, but then, I needed the money for tickets.
I just bought a 2018 F250 within 4 weeks and I have 3 cracks in my windshield! I have owned a Tundra for 5 years and not 1 crack. Just wondering if there are more out there that have this issue? The complaints have been sent to Ford, so we'll see what happens.
[knocks on wood]. I’ve had no cracks yet, but have had several chips that have been repaired. New windshields in general seem much more susceptible than I remember from my past. Across all brands. I’ve noticed this with late model Toyota products, Honda, Ford, Lexus and Porsche.
Great looking truck! What tires/lift are you running?
Thanks, I'm running on Cooper SST pros 37's and a 3.5 readylift.
