My F-250 7.3 4x4 also seems to be lower in the front than I think it should be (and rides very hard too on our dirt roads, although I don't have anything to compare it to). There appears to be only about 1.5-2" between the TTB arms and the rubber bumpers on the frame, when it's sitting in the driveway empty. Does that sound right or are my springs sagged? Where can I find a spec so I can measure - or just take it to a spring/chassis shop if I can find one anywhere near where I live?
thanks.

Got a pair of add a leaf for the front full length, put the front up about 2 inches.now I have about 2.5 inches of travel before the bumpstop hits,it was 3/4 inch, tires a little out but I hope a little driving and some new camber slugs help.

I did a lot more reading on the Dana 50 TTB and the best comment I could find is that a stock setup "rides like poo". I am inclined to agree.
It appears that 1.5-2 inches from arm to bumpstop is normal. (The wheel does travel further than that, of course, but the amount of travel is still limited compared to a modified setup or a D60 solid axle conversion).

Heavy truck shops used to recurve springs but I don't know if that is a common practice these days.

I would be afraid that the truck would beat itself to death with sacked out suspension. As I get used to being an "old guy", I guess I should be concerned about it beating me to death too.

I agree on the last. part. There is a spring shop about a hour away.they said they will recurve them but after awhile they will return because a memmory.I should have learned when I had my,93.but that was a time ago.I would like to put a straight front end under it like I did way back.just have to make do now.
