Heater Core

Hi fellas I need to change out my leaking heater core in my 68 f100 was just wondering if the entire heater box needs to be removed or if there was a hidden trap door I am not seeing? any help would be appreciated
also truck has no ac

Not a very good pic, but it's the only one. Heater core shown as 18476

Yes, the whole box needs to be removed.

It is a simple job. Handful of small bolts/nuts on the inside and it all falls down on the floor. Don't forget the three bolts on the engine side of firewall and the two hoses.

Cut the heater hoses at the firewall and pull them in with the box..
