I got a 95 f150 rwd 5 speed
would other year or model 150s tranny bolt right up to my motor and diff.
I found a 1997 rwd 5 speed for the low and want to know if it would fit my truck.
You currently have what 5 speed (M5OD-R2?) and you found which 5 speed in what ‘97 vehicle? Modular bellhousing pattern is different than the 300/302/351 pattern.
You already have another transmission/ noise thread going so why start another when you don’t know if the transmission is actually at fault?
Yeah I had changed the u joints thinking it was maybe that and still have the loud noise.....so it's definitely the transmission.
i just want to know what other transmission options I have.
And even if I was to fix it I want a spare transmission and spare motor for a just in case.
Is it? So you have come to the conclusion that it is not the pilot bearing or even the throw out bearing still turning although it shouldn’t be. I don’t recall you checking the fluid level and making sure the correct fluid is in there.
All fluids are good to go checked them all then I changed the u joints....like I posted on the last one it on on makes the noise when I give it gas....and it starts after I get into 2nd gear. While in 1st I can floor it and no noise....then ones I go into 2nd it starts....but again only when I give it gas....as I let of the pedal it goes away if I trow it in neutral I goes away. It sounds like when you have a bad wheel bearing a loud winding noise that gets louder and faster as I drive....it not a wheel bearing either bc those were replaced lol.
