6.7 lie o meter question/issue

I have a 2018 F250 Lariat and been getting around 16 to 17 mpg on the lie o meter. But seems every now and then starts getting horrible MPG’s for about 10 min and then goes back to normal. Just wondering if it is just trying to correct itself or is there an issue. Has anyone else noticed this? BTW mine only has about 1300 miles and had it about 3 weeks. Nothing else seems out of the norm

It’s called regen. Extra fuel injected to burn the residue out of the DPF. It’s normal.

Only do the delete if you don't mind voiding the warranty.
