Engine Brake
Hi all I have a question and hope someone can answer. I was towing my travel trailer last weekend. Went up to Mt Mitchell camping in NC. I had tow haul mode on and when I was going down the mountain I noticed the engine brake was on. I did not manually set it.
Is it supposed to come on automatic when you are in tow haul mode?
I have a 2018 F350 6.7 DRW.

I don’t think it comes on in tow/haul, you must have touched the button. It’s pretty sensitive. One touch full, two touches is automatic mode, it is separate from tow/haul completely as far as I know.

In tow haul mode, it will use the engine to slow down. Can be kind if alarming if you’re not expecting it. Does it in my 2011 F350 6.2l

On my 2016 6.7, tow haul mode included engine brake and changing gears. On my 2017, I hit the tow haul button to regear then hit engine brake button to engage that part.
