U-joint alignment
I thought I read somewhere that there is a proper orientation for the u-joints when installing a drive shaft. Is there or does it not matter on a stock ride height truck? This is for my '66 with a 2-piece drive shaft.

There is a proper installation. drive shafts need to be phased or timed so all the crosses are in the same plane. Also if using greasable joints, the zerks (almost) always point out, or toward the ends of the shaft. This is mostly so you can get a grease gun on the fitting. Also for maximum strength, crosses should be installed so the grease fitting hole is in compression under torque.
