Loan Rate

Just curious what kind of auto loan rates everyone is getting and the finance company you used. I'll take their $500, but I refuse to pay 4.9% through Ford. Would love to find a 1.9%-2.9% rate.

I’ve noticed rates have been creeping up lately. State Farm just went from 2.5 to 2.9 but I’m still planning on using them unless something better comes along.

BTW, any update on your truck’s ETA? Since both ours are headed to Memphis maybe they’ll be on the same train.

I believe if you want that rate, you'll have to go to a ~3 year term. I've been told amount down doesn't help as long as you put down at least 10%. FWIW, I went with a 6 yr at 3.75% last year this time.

You should be able to refinance at your local credit union or USAA if your connected to the military...
my credit union was more than happy to help.

I financed my 2017 F250 through Ford at 4.85% to get the rebates, then refinanced through my credit union for 2.49% for 6 years

Called JCT this morning. My truck is sitting in Chattanooga, TN. They said it goes from Chattanooga to Birmingham, AL, and then back up to Memphis. He thought it may arrive this weekend and suggested I call back Monday. If I call back Monday and it is there he said they could possibly get it on a truck and delivered on Tuesday. That'd be 6 days ahead of schedule.

Hey, that’s great news for you! Mine is at the Shelbyville Mixing Center and I thought yours was still there too. Guess mine will still be a while then. Was hoping to use it to pull our trailer to Tuscaloosa in a few weeks for the air show but it’s looking like we’ll still be in Old Blue! Good luck with financing and hope you can get it ahead of schedule!

Did they offer that or did you have to twist their arm? Or is that a special rate for Molson drinkers?

That's sweet. Do you have some kind of insider connection or something? Two dealerships told me that Ford Credit rates were crazy high 5+% for 5 or 6 year terms.

Molson is Moose Pi$$ I’m an Alpine beer guy. At the time I believe it was 1.99 and I asked for zero. Settled on .99%

I have bought several vehicles and I know the owner and financial officer well. I still like to believe it was my fine negotiating skills lol.
