O2 sensor issues or maybe something else?

Hi All,

I'm new here and new to Ford trucks. I've got a 2010 F350 6.8 litre V-10. I've only had it for a few weeks so I'm very unfamiliar. Right after I bought it I changed the oil, oil filter, and air filter (which was very worn). A few days ago I got a check engine light and it gave me:

P0155 (O2 heater circuit (bank 2, sensor 1))

When changing it the sensor came out great but the plug was melted/mangled. By the time I had the sensor separated from the harness plug you couldn't recognize where one started and the other began. I then bought a new plug "pigtail" to attach to the harness to plug into. After getting the new harness side plug installed I plugged it into the new sensor. I cleared the fault codes and let the truck run for a few minutes. Then I took it for a drive and it ran fine and all the check lights stayed off. The next morning the check light came back and it's telling me now I have:

P0155 (same as before, bank 2, sensor 1)
P0141 (O2 heater circuit (bank 1, sensor 2))
P2197 (O2 sensor signal stuck lean, bank 2 sensor 1))

My logic was that now that I'm having a sensor code on the other side maybe it's my mass air flow sensor. So I cleaned that really well but I'm still stuck with the same codes. After cleaning the sensor I changed to a new O2 sensor (bank 2, sensor 1) just to be sure but I still get the same codes.

Any ideas? Thanks for reading.

Recheck your wiring, if the connector was melted then you could have a faulty heater circuit wire, it could also be be caused by a bad MAF sensor, ECT, low fuel pressure, a vacuum leak and bad CATS and even the ECM / PCM, but my guess would be it's in the wires that got melted. I hope you're able to find it without too much cost or hassle, best thing I found is to hook a scanner up with live data stream and see wht your sensors are doing. Did you try clearing the codes and drive it for awhile to try to get your ECM to set?

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I've got a lot to look into. To answer your question, yes I did clear the codes and they came back.
