I am in quite a few bands, one still in the garage(well, we have gigs like once every 2 months), one at church that plays every sunday night for about 100-120 people, and one that has 2 full length albums out(well, the 2nd is getting pressed). We would be gigging like 3 or 4 times a week, but drummers are hard to come by in these parts! We have a website too. www.wishbonecatastrophe.com
Oops, fotgot to say- I play lead guitar for all of this. The garage band is punk rock, the church band is contemporary christian, and wishbone catastrophe is original folk rock.

Have you tried seaching some classified sites? Here are two of my favorites:
Very cool...right now I am in a band playing classic/90's alternative rock.
what kinds of equipment to ya'll use...guitars, amps, effects, etc.
I am currently using a 7pc Pearl (10, 12, 13, 14, 16" toms, 22" kick, 14x5.5" snare) w/Tama pedals and Sabian cymbals (8, 10" splash, 14, 16, 18" crash, 22" ride, 18" china)
Originally posted by MuchToMyDelight I have an ibanez RG, a marshall 3005, and a Behringer V-AMP for the church gigs (sound guys dont like not having control over my volume!)
I play a Fender Strat. through a Fender M-80 Chorus. Looking for a good practice amp...probably a small (I mean 10-15W small) Marshall or Fender. Practicing with this thing is ridiculous I got it because...well I like "more power" and because it was a good deal
Any suggestions?

And to answer the main question of the post, I'm a hack. I play tabs trying to get a little better at reading music and stuff, I can play sax but I was taught how to play just by knowing where my fingers went by the place on the line the note was. I have no idea of note names (Been given all the easy ways to remember I forget, wasn't the focus of my class. My teacher liked to win competitions at all costs we just played every day) anyway I like country music and have been trying to play that but its alot harder then what I learned how to play with alternative/rock.
I compose rock, alternative, country and devotional music, play pubic less often that I used to, and have a blast rocking to the sound of 7 synths, midied together, playing with rhythm...
I'm in 2 different bands. They are church bands, but they rock! I lead the youth band on the Acoustic and I sing. In the adult band, I play the acoustic also. In fact, I gotta to practice in like 2 minutes! I forgot our website, but I'll get it and post it on here for ya!
