90 E-350 no start
A friend of mine just bought one of these, and it won't start. It has a 351W, MPFI and a auto tranny. When you engage the key switch, the engine seems to catch, but as soon as the starter solenoid disengages, the engine dies. It will do this over and over, seeming to start but just not staying running.
We jumped the fuel pump so it ran all the time, and it did the same thing.
We looked for the fuel-pump cut off switch and think we found it on the passenger side kick panel (can someone confirm this location? It was a rectangular black box with what seemed to be a pressed in button on top of it, so this apparently wasn't out problem.)
Truck has spark when spinning over. We even tried spraying gas in the front of the throttle body, but it just does the same thing (not start.)
We replaced the key switch.
Any other ideas?

That's where the cut-off switch on my '94 van is. Can't help much on the no-start problem.
