Rad fitment

Good day guys . I just received my replacement rad support from dennis carpenter. Part number C6TZ-16138-C said to be a replacement t for the 1966 f250 2 wheel drive .
looks similar but I am having an issue with the rad fitting. I have the original but it's a single core as my truck was originally a inline 6 with a manual trans.
I was hoping to use the rad from my doner truck a 1972 f 250 auto. I don't really see a way to make it fit with the way this support is set up. Am I missing something here ? Please help.

I think the flange is wrong,
i got an aluminum one with plastic tanks from advanced auto.
the flanges bolt on so I just swapped them side to side and it fit
it was for a 75 f150 with a FE engine
i can even give you the part numbers for the hoses
i have pictures somplace

If you take a pic of the radiator that came with it and the radiator you are trying to put in, I may be able to help.

It is NOT and Carpenter does not say this is the application. I know this, because I looked at Carpenters online catalog listing.

There are TWO problems.

1) While Carpenter lists the C6TZ-16138-C FoMoCo radiator support part number, he says its applications are 1965/66.

Since you probably don't have the 1964/72 Ford truck parts catalog, you should have asked what this support fits before you bought it, because...

This radiator support was only used on 1965 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD .. so it's the wrong radiator support for your 1966 F250 2WD .. The flanges are in a different location on these 1965/66's.

1966 F100/250 2WD: C6TZ-16138-B

2) 1967/72 F100/350: TWO different radiator supports, TWO different sized radiators. The radiator support used with the Super Cooling radiator has a larger opening radius.

If your 1972 F250 2WD has a standard/xtra cooling or A/C radiator, it should fit. If it has the Super Cooling radiator (has a HUGE top tank), it won't fit any 1961/66 radiator support properly.

The thing is, none of the repro parts sellers catalog applications are accurate, including those that use Ford part numbers.

I've been telling members for over 11 years to get the Ford parts catalogs (available on C/D's), then they can verify the applications.
