I just drove home my new, to me, 74 F100. I was told it had a 352 tranplanted from a car. The vin says it was shipped with a 360. From reading here, I understand that both engines have the same block. It has headers, but has a 2 barrel carb. I plan for this to be my every day transport, after a little paint. Is there an easy way to tell what engine I have? I will try to post some "before" pic's in my gallery in the next couple days.
About the only way to really ID these FE engines is to measure the bore and stroke or ID the crank. Since most of these are 30 years or older, they could have been rebuilt as just about any FE combination.
The 352 and 360 only differ by the bore, 4.00 and 4.05 respectively.
