TBI Upgrade

Hello all. Has anyone installed the BBK Throttle Body on their 5.0? Mine is stock except long tube headers and true dual exhaust. No cats. Thanks!

There are no restrictions on the intake side of this motor, the stock TB will support 350hp. Only problem is the stock heads only support 275hp and the stock cam further limits output to under 200hp.

Yes. I have the 56mm on my 302 and the 61mm on a 392. I am using them out of necessity. I needed new throttle bodies since the old ones were worn out. The shaft in the throttle body had too much slop and would bind. As previously stated, a mostly stock engine won’t benefit.

I was a bit confused by the title of your thread since TBI is the acronym Throttle Body Injection which Ford never used on trucks.
