Options questions

Thinking of ordering if dealer cant find anything close, but have a few questions on some options.

1. would you recommend the dual battery set up on a 250 gasser with snow plow prep or do you think one is enough
2. are bigger fuel tanks available from ford for either the gasser or diesel trucks. isnt it like 34 gal for gas and 29 for diesel -- standard tanks with the short bed.
3. wheel well liners anybody get the ford ones vs aftermarket and which do you like better.
4. Axles. Doing either the 3.55 in diesel or the 4.30 in a gasser. Im assuming the electronic locking is a better choice in either case vs the limited slip? Im sorry to say but Im not up on the axle stuff..

I ordered mine with the wheel well liners. They fit good and no scratches when being put on!

I have a 250 gas and plow, I have the extra heavy duty alternator. I did not understand the poor wording of the order guide so I have a single battery. So far I have had no problems with voltage and I do have a monitor to watch it. If I was to order again I would get the option but I think you will fine either way. I did order the E locker. I must say it does well, however if your on even remotely dry surfaces and make a turn you will bind up pretty bad. For plowing i'm kinda on the fence as to which is better. Ive been on some slippery stuff in 2WD that it would just spin and engaging the locker got me right out but by the same token engaging 4wd also would have. I do have the factory liners and like them.

You can’t choose between limited slip and locker. SRW trucks are either locker or open. DRW trucks either LS or open.

There are no optional fuel tank sizes from Ford. The 29 gallon tank only comes in the diesel with regular cab and short bed SuperCab
3. wheel well liners anybody get the ford ones vs aftermarket and which do you like better. I installed the Ford wheel liners. I looked at the Husky but Ford's seemed better IMO. Definitely like them.

Gasoline: 34.0 (142" , 148", 164", 160" WB), 48.0 (176" WB)
Diesel: 29.0 (142", 148" WB), 34.0 (164", 160" WB), 48.0 (176" WB)

I went with the huskey wheel well liners, the cover more area. Kinda a bitch to install, some trimming is needed. But very good coverage
